The campus houses a functional Health Center designed to offer essential healthcare services to staff and their families. Two experienced doctors serve as part-time Authorized Medical Attendants (AMA) on a contractual basis within the center. Additionally, two technical officials are present to manage the day-to-day operations of the health center. All visiting patients undergo registration at the health center. The majority of medical cases are treated on-site, while more complex cases are referred to authorized CGHS hospitals and specialized investigation centers or pathology clinics in the city for expert diagnosis and treatment. The Health Center maintains affiliations with nine reputed hospitals, two eye hospitals, and six investigation centers located within the local area.
Equipped with standard instruments, the Health Center is capable of performing general/minor dressings, providing first aid, conducting physical examinations, and measuring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and blood sugar levels. Following the recommendations of the AMAs, patients are advised on medical rest and are also issued medical fitness certificates when necessary.
In addition to serving regular employees, pensioners, and contractual staff from various ongoing research projects, the Health Center extends medical treatments to trainees and laborers in emergency and casualty situations as an act of humanitarian assistance. Furthermore, the Health Center offers first aid and emergency services during official functions such as the Kisan Mela and Foundation Day events. In addition to its daily operations, the Health Center periodically organizes various camps including educational, free eye screening, and health care camps within the institute campus. This outreach benefits residents in the nearby vicinity.
